A message from Bruce Mark’s- 9/3/25
Dear Classmates:
We have only ten days to our 50th Reunion. The many Classmates volunteering their time to make this the “best reunion ever” (to quote Dan Wilhelm) have done tremendous work. We did our best to involve all Classmates, with many notices, including the Hold the Date, Townhall Meeting, and recent Pittsburgh Post-Gazette “article”; posts on our Class Facebook and Website; snail mail; and rounds and rounds of telephone calls. Everyone who voiced a suggestion was heard, and we are open to more.
Our Classmates organizing the Reunion represent all aspects of our Class – athletes, artists, scholars, and, like me, regular students who did not play a varsity sport, star in a school production, edit a school publication, or go to the Senior Prom (I did go to the Mt. Lebanon prom so I was not a total loser).
Classmates coming to our Reunions find it meaningful to connect, even if we have not been in touch over the years. Next week, we will learn more about each other at the Friday night football championship celebration, Al’s afterwards, Saturday morning High school tour, and the Reunion on Saturday night. Maybe I’ll even get tips on how to get my children married.
Our Saturday night entertainment showcases current students. A student jazz band will serenade us during cocktails, a student string quartet will play during dinner, and the 24 voice Chanteclairs will kick off our program with a fun 70s medley. Two short performances by Classmates are designed to rekindle memories of our musical talent and serve as role models to the performing students, not to reprise popularity as suggested by a Facebook post. The USC High School Special Education Department’s Print Shop is preparing our evening’s playbills to inspire inclusiveness.
We will have between 150 and 170 Classmates confirmed before registration closes on Friday . That is an incredible testament to our Classmates’ hard work and the bonds formed in our youth which have endured. We will miss Classmates who decide not to attend.
If anyone has ideas on something which should (or not) be done at the Reunion, please email me at Marks@mslegal.com. We will genuinely consider all suggestions. We want this to be the “best reunion ever” and it will be.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
USC will honor our Class with 50 yard-line tickets at the home football game. Special recognition will be given to our classmates who were members of the undefeated ’75 Championship team. There will be a reception Friday evening from 7:00 – 12:00 at BJ Brewhouse.

ST. CLAIR COUNTRY CLUB MAIN EVENT
Our main event will be Saturday from 5:30 to 11:00 pm. Following a lengthy cocktail reception and wonderful dinner has been planned. The cost is $110 per person. register here

Friday September 12th – We are going to arrange for seating near the 50 yard line in the first few rows of the Upper St. Clair Stadium for all 75ers attending the game on Friday Sept. 12. We will work with administration to get (free) access for all Class of 75 attendees.
