Hello fellow 1974 graduates of Upper St. Clair High School, family and friends!  I am excited to share with you plans for our 50th Year Reunion weekend. We also need your input…below is a survey where we are asking you to weigh in on some of the additional activities we might include during this special weekend.   For the past few months, several of your fellow classmates have been working to plan activities, secure venues, and find email addresses (we now have 297!), all in the hope that you will be able to join us to travel “Back to 1974” and celebrate all that has transpired in the last 50 years together. So mark your calendars for the weekend of September 27-29, 2024. Here are the plans, so far:   DETAILS: 1). WELCOME PARTY: On Friday evening, Sept. 27, 2024, join us in a private room at Primanti Brothers Restaurant and Bar at 1539 Washington Road. Here we’ll reminisce together and you’re encouraged to dress like it’s 1974…Bell bottoms, mini-skirts, hot pants, sweater vests, and hippie looks are all welcome! More details to come!   Please note:  If there is a home USC football game on this particular Friday night, we are invited to attend and join up at Primate’s after leaving the game.   2). REUNION DINNER: On Saturday evening, Sept. 28, 2024, we have a beautiful dinner planned at St. Clair County Club featuring hor’doeuvres, a dinner buffet with chicken and beef, and of course…cake!  There will be a DJ spinning our 70’s tunes, a look back at our time at USC from way back when, and 50 years of memories to celebrate together.   We need your help! We’re assembling a special video presentation and need your photos and videos. If you have any from our high school years together, please send digital copies to Cynthia Rice (cynthialrice@gmail.com) to be included on the big screen presentation.   3). HOTEL INFO: There is a block of rooms reserved for us at The Crowne Plaza Suites, Pittsburgh South, across from South Hills Village. You do not need to take any action right now. An easy reservation link for securing a room will be sent to you in the months ahead.   WE NEED YOUR INPUT: Your reunion planning committee is investigating a variety of experiences and ideas to offer you during our reunion weekend – in addition to the gatherings listed above – and we want to gauge your interest in some of what’s being considered. For example, would you like to take a tour of the high school (it’s very different now!)? Are you interested in a golf outing, a trip to a winery, or brunch on Sunday?
